Pair of Edwardian Baby and Child Charms ANTIQUE
These exquisite and unusual charms by the same maker feature on one a cute, cheeky baby and on the other a sweet child dressed in blue. Made during the Edwardian period, these superbly hand painted enamel charms are gilded silver and lightweight, being hollow inside. They each bear the same stamp on their rings, though only partially legible so it is not clear whether it's a purity stamp or maker's mark.
They are overall in good condition, note that there is a small dot dent and light less obvious light denting to the back of the baby charm and, on the back of the child charm is evidence of past metal testing. No enamel loss.
They each measure 21mm x 14mm (frame) with the inner oval measuring 15mm x 9mm. For sale as a pair.
These are the only two I have ever seen, perhaps they were custom made for a family. Absolutely charming!
