A realistic Cornish pasty charm. The humble Cornish pasty has an interesting history, once a staple food for the coal miners of Cornwall, they would take one to work in their pocket. The thick pastry securely enclosing the contents, which was usually savoury but some were said to be meat and vegetables on one side and a sweet, probably stewed apples, on the other.
