Lucky Heather Charm VINTAGE Silver
Lucky Heather Charm VINTAGE Silver
Silver Lucky Heather Charm
A finely detailed lucky charm, comprising a horseshoe and a sprig of heather. Made in the 1950s-1970s, in good condition.
Lucky heather has long been regarded as a symbol of good fortune in British and Celtic folklore. Traditionally associated with Scotland, where purple heather grows abundantly on the moors, it has been linked to protection, admiration, and luck. White heather, in particular, is considered especially auspicious and is often used in wedding bouquets and charms. The belief in its luck-bringing properties is thought to date back to ancient times, when Druids and other early cultures used it in rituals and as a protective talisman. Today, sprigs of lucky heather are still sold by Romani people across the UK as a token of goodwill and fortune.
